To say all are welcome is incomplete.

There is no “we” that welcomes those considered other.
There is no other.

We are aware of the very real pain and suffering caused by the toxic delusion of othering, in all its forms. As a Sangha, we are committed to a clear seeing of our own delusions and those that operate in our society as a whole.

We practice generosity, kindness, honesty, simplicity and the virtue of hospitality for everyone. And so, even though saying you are welcome is incomplete, we say it anyway.

You are welcome here.

Come join us, find your own relationship to the teachings and practices of Sōtō Zen Buddhism, and know the support of human beings that stand beside you.
